Directions
Head west on Deer Flat Rd. off of Hwy 69 (Kuna Meridian Hwy) to Ten Mile Rd. Turn south onto Ten Mile and go down to Boise Street. Turn south onto Boise Street.
Parking
If you are a parade participant, please proceed to the second turn into the Kuna Middle School parking lot.
If you are in an Organization, Business or Church group it would be best to carpool to Kuna Middle School or meet in a general area in town and travel to Kuna Middle School as a group.
Drop-Offs
If you are just dropping off a participant please pull into the Middle School Parking lot by the Kuna Sheriff’s Office.
Parade Start
Registration will start at 8:00 a.m. sharp and end at 9:15 a.m. The parade is scheduled to be on Main Street at 10:00 a.m., and will leave the Kuna Middle School lot at 9:45 a.m. All participants must be setup by 9:15 a.m. The parade can only be entered from off of Ten Mile Rd.
Registration
If you are pre-registered you will be given your number at the registration booth in the Kuna Middle School parking lot the morning of the parade, and will be directed to your area for line up. Entrants do not line up in numerical order. The numbers are only for judging and for announcements.
Where to Line Up
The line-up will be in the Kuna Middle School parking lot, in an area separate from other parking. If you have more than one vehicle in your entry, please don't enter the lineup area until all your vehicles have arrived so we can be sure there is room for you all to be together in the staging area and in the parade.
Animals
Animal/Horse entries will be subject to an extra $10 cleaning deposit, which all participants will forfeit together if there is any animal waste left behind. If you are a parade participant with horses, please proceed to the 3rd/last entrance to the middle school parking lots and go to the far back dirt parking lot to set up. It is your responsibility to clean up after your animals/horses before, during, and after the parade. Help each other out. It is recommended to bring an extra person to help clean up as you travel through the parade. We do not have pooper scoopers (sorry!).
During the Parade
It is important there are no large gaps between parade entries. There should be 15 to 25 feet between each entry. Please maintain this distance between you and the entry immediately in front of you.
Announcers
The Parade Announcer will be located on Main Street in front of the Community Hall and will introduce each entry with information provided (except for day-of parade registrations). If you would like to provide information about your organization or entry, please include it with your registration form or email it to [email protected].
Handing Out Candy or Other Items
Candy or advertisements are allowed, but you must have individuals walk along the parade route handing it out. (For everyone's safety, we don’t want the children running into the street for candy).
Water Fight
Again, this year, Kuna & area Fire Departments will bring up the end of the parade with a water fight. Parade participants are welcome to join us. Let us know at line up so we can put you right before the Fire Department. Remember spectators are known to bring their own water and fire back!
Judging
The judges may walk around the line-up area judging all entries so it’s very important for all entries to be at the Middle School and in place by 9:15 a.m. The alternative is the judges will be near the announcer on Main Street. You will be notified OF WHAT within the next week after Kuna Days.
Parade Route
Map to be updated shortly.
Parade End
All participants in the parade are responsible for making sure their staging area is cleaned up after the parade.
Refund Policy
No refunds are offered for any part of the Kuna Days Parade registration, except as a part of rejected applications.
Incomplete Application Policy
Any applications submitted without the required form submitted either by mail or on the website will be cancelled refunded minus a $30 service charge.
Extra Fees
If there is more than one (1) vehicle in your organization or business, add $10 to the entry fee. Animals require an extra $10 cleaning deposit.
